Meeting Support

There are many times when you're not looking for a full on "managed" event, but rather wanting to enhance your meeting without spending a fortune. We call this Meeting Support.

Meeting Support can be broken down into four main areas:

Sound: There are several uses for sound reinforcement at a smaller meeting, and often these are overlooked until the last minute. If you've got sound on your presentation, you will need something to boost the output, without the expense of a full blown PA system. Our powered speakers can deliver a good sound for up to around 20 people.

Presentations are often difficult enough without worrying whether people can hear what you're saying. The added confidence a simple lapel mic can provide may mean the difference between a  successful meeting and one where you lose the audience attention. Lectern mics can also be easily attached to wherever you're speaking from and can add a professional appearance to the room.

Small PA system from £85

Projection: With the change in technology for video projection happening so fast, it's often easy to get confused as to what is needed. For most consumers, the difference between DLP and LCD projectors isn't relevant, but if you want to know more - this article has more details. The basics are that for a small audience - up to 30 people, a desktop projector with a brightness of 2200 lumens is sufficient. These are nearly always projected from the front onto either a screen or wall.

For larger meetings, rear projection with a more powerful projector (4500 lumens) will give a polished look to your event. We can surround the screen with either a "drape kit" - similar to heavy curtains, or with a custom set, made of felt covered wooden panels. Onto these can be attached your corporate logos to add a classy finish.

Medium power projector from £350

Lighting: Often lighting gets left out of the thinking for smaller meetings, but it can be vital to make the event a success. It is importnat that the speaker can be seen clearly without compromising the images on the screen. We can focus our lights onto both the speaker and any logos you may have, so that it looks natural, but the speaker is well lit and the logos appear clearly. We also use LED lights, that are controllable for colour to uplight the set to give extra panache.

Extras: All the things that you may not think of! Microcue is invaluable for operating Powerpoint with just a small wireless controller in your hand. Switchers, if you are moving from Powerpoint to DVD and back again - these will provide a smooth transition that looks much more professional than without.DI Boxes - small boxs of tricks that take away the hum that you often get when playing sound through a laptop. Repeater screens are used when sightlines may obscure some of the audience from seeing the main screen. These are usually LCD or plasma screens on stands further down the room. There are many more extras that we will offer depending on your particular event.
