Audio Spotlight used for BBC Radio 3 trails


Status are very excited to have supplied BBC Radio 3, in conjunction with Red Bee Media, four units of the Holosonic AS-24 Audio Spotlight unit.

We have recently completed the installation of a full video and audio recording system for a local GP practice. This allows consultations to be recorded, with the patients consent, for training and service level improvements.


This very discreet installation included the following products:

Samsung Dome Camera



Audio Technica Mics



4 channel mixer



Sony DVD recorder

7" preview monitor



All these parts were discreetly hidden away but with easy access for use. The camera was positioned exactly to ensure that only the seated consultation area was in shot. There are options to add a microphone above the examination bed, in order to capture the audio element of the examination.

Operation is simplicity itself. One power switch to turn on all the components and then one button to press to record.
